Neha Gondra

Founder and President

Major: Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior & Managerial Economics

Neha is a second-year passionate about raising awareness for the rare disease space. She founded the Students for Rare Chapter at UC Davis to bring together students to ideate, innovate, and create solutions for challenges faced by the rare disease community. In her free time, Neha loves to play golf and curl up with a good book.

Jane Crosby

Vice President

Major: Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior

Jane joined SFR to learn more about the issues affecting the rare disease community. She hopes to advocate for the development of FDA-approved treatments and raise awareness in order to lessen the time to diagnosis.

A Fun Fact about Jane: “I like to hike and backpack in my free time!”

Emily Lai

Director of Finance

Major: Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavioural Science

Emily joined SFR because she sees a lot of potential in its influence on campus and outreach to local communities. She looks forward to growing UCD SFR in the upcoming years.


A Fun Fact about Emily: “My favorite Disney soundtrack is from The Lion King!”

Connar Hill

Director of Public Relations

Major: Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavioral Science

Connar joined SFR because he is determined to assist the rare disease community. He is committed to putting his total effort into expanding SFR and educating the UC Davis community on rare diseases.

A Fun Fact about Connar: "I'm half Bulgarian!"

Kimberli Toy

Director Of Communications

Major: Biochemistry & Molecular Biology

Kimberli joined SFR because she is interested in learning about rare diseases. As SFR’s Secretary, she looks forward to working towards increasing awareness and advocacy for the rare disease community.

A Fun Fact about Kimberli: “I enjoy doing puzzles during my free time!”
